Charles Schultz Obituary

Charles Schultz was born on July 13, 1940 to Horace & Frances Schultz in San Diego, California. He had one younger sibling, a sister, Karen Williams. He moved around growing up as his father was in the navy. However, he was mainly raised in Shawnee Mission, KS. As a young adult, he traveled to Chicago, IL. It was while working at Neihoff Company, that he met his lovely wife, Loretta. Charles & Loretta uniquely shared the same birthdate, July 13, 1940. Charles and Loretta were joined in holy matrimony for 52 years. Soon after getting married, the couple moved to Evanston, IL where they would raise their family. From this union three children were born, August, Julie and Henry. Most knew him as Charlie. For many years, he owned and operated an antique store and a moving company. Charlie had a love for antiques, thrifting, garage sales and junking. He taught his family how to work hard and the value of a dollar. He helped anyone and everyone that would let him. Charlie volunteered at the Food Pantry in Evanston, IL for many years. He loved to work, some may even say he was a workaholic. Even on his final day, he was doing what had he done every other day of his life. He was working and helping someone. Charlie loved his family and would do anything for them. He always went above and beyond. He had a heart of gold and he treated everyone like family. He loved working on projects and fixing things. He walked around with a pocketknife and tools in his pocket. He was one of a kind. He had a special gift of giving the most unique and special heartwarming gifts that you needed a box cutter to open. Charlie made his transition on February 12, 2020. Charlie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Loretta one sister Karen(W/ilmore), three children, August(Katie), Julie(William) and Henry(Nelly), 5 grandchildren, Adonis, Serena, Evelyn, Andre and Mali and a host of friends.
