Rita Nuñez, age 72, passed away peacefully leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, generosity, and cherished memories.
Rita was a devoted mother, Nana, sister, aunt, cousin and beloved friend. She was retired from Chicago Public Schools, where she dedicated many years of her life to serving and caring for others.
Rita found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved dancing, shopping, traveling, and, most of all, staying connected with the people she loved. She could spend hours talking on the phone with family and friends, always making sure to keep those special connections close to her heart. She had a generous spirit and a heart that was always willing to give.
Her greatest joy was her family. Her three children, Raquel, Valerie, and Rodolfo, were her pride and joy. Being a Nana brought her an indescribable happiness. She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made it a priority to be present for their special moments, celebrations, and milestones. Her presence, love, and encouragement will forever be a part of their lives.
Rita will be remembered for her loving heart, her generosity, her warmth, her laughter, and the way she made the people around her feel loved. She leaves behind countless beautiful memories that will be treasured by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Her life was a gift, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed.
May she rest in eternal peace.
