Maria Amparo “Mame” Lopez, age 76, passed away on June 6th, 2026. Mame was born on October 30th, 1949 in Lares, Puerto Rico to the late Herminio Lopez and the late Maria Luisa Ramos. She was the devoted partner of Paco Perez; dear sister of Margarita (Eduardo) Feliciano and the late John (Lisa) Lopez; beloved mother of Irma (Jose) Olavarria, Amparo (Richard) Olavarria, Milagros (Rafael) Rodriguez, Nelida Olavarria, Daniel Olavarria, Carmen (the late Christopher) Olavarria, and Carlos Olavarria; cherished grandmother of Maria (Maiko), Yahayra (Julio), Vanessa, Manuel, Alvaro, Adin, Linda, Damien, Jacklyn (Gavin), Rafael, Melanie (Xavier), Benjamin, Sergio, Sanaa, Danielle, Justin (Karen), Micaela, Lelani, Jocelyn, Carlos, Giancarlo, and D’carlo; treasured great-grandmother of eleven; fond aunt of Eduardo, German, and Reena. Singing was Mame’s lifelong passion and joy. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Funeral Service: Sunday, June 14th, 2026 from 2-6 PM at Martinez Funeral Home, 2534 S. Pulaski Rd.

Prayer service: Monday, June 15th at 9:00 AM at Martinez Funeral Home

Burial: Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL, 60162.
