José Guadalupe Contreras (Gualo)
Born on December 12, 1933 in his beloved Jéruco, Michoacán.
Gualo fought a strong fight against cancer, he never gave up, but
unfortunately his body did. He passed away at the age of 83, on
Monday, October 16, 2017 with his family by his side. He is survived
by his family.
Dearest husband of Maria Remedios Rico (Meyos), and loving father
of Plautila, Pedro, Carmen, Sonia, Elsa, Alva, Elia and Raúl.
Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 14 great
grandchildren.
There are no words to describe how much Gualo will be missed by
his loving family. He inspired each and everyone of us to always be
the best we can be. He was strong, funny, super creative, wise,
caring, humble, and above all, just an amazing all around good
human being. He was a storyteller, he always had an interesting, or
funny story to tell. Whenever you least expected, he had a joke for
you. He would always brighten our days and put a smile on our faces.
A lot of times we would end up crying of laughter. We'll always
cherish and miss all those good times we had with him.
He was the foundation that held our family strong, without him things
won't be the same, but his memories will live forever inside each and
every one of his family, friends and anyone that was lucky enough to
have met him.
We'll miss you Gualo, you will live in our hearts for eternity.
