Geraldine "Gerri" Lopez (Roa) passed away unexpectedly on July 3rd, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 73.

Geraldine was the heart of her family. She found true joy in the simple, beautiful moments--spending time with loved ones, sharing stories, and especially cherishing time with her two granddaughters, whom she adored beyond measure. She had a curious and thoughtful spirit, and her favorite pastimes included reading and watching movies and TV shows-particularly ones that explored the mysteries of the paranormal. Those quiet evenings brought her comfort and joy.

Gerri is survived by her life partner Pedro "Pete" Sandoval; her children Tanya (Matthew) Brunner of Oshkosh, WI., Coreen Radjevic of Oshkosh, WI., Pedro "Jason" Sandoval of Chicago, and Jonathan Sandoval of Chicago; two granddaughters Kiyah Brunner and Ella Hunt; and by her siblings Patricia Roa, Victoria Pena, Michael Roa, Henry Pena, and Andrew Pena; and many nieces and nephews.  Gerri was preceded in death by both parents, Michael Roa and Marge Pena, and one sister Eva Martinez.

A memorial mass will be held on July 20th, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 2745 W 44th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60632 at 9:00 am.
